The band started in 1985 when Daz Ebbatson and Martin Rushby who had been working together on a Youth Theatre production together - 'Haunted Sunflower' joined with local musician Kenny Blades - who was known to like the Beatles a bit!.

Right from the outset they intended to compose original material relying on covers as little as possible. The first gigs consisted of numbers as diverse as The Beatles 'I want you (she's so heavy') and Roger Taylor's 'Man on Fire', mixed with self-penned numbers such as 'Nothing on her mind' and 'I'm on Fire' (not to be confused with the Bruce Springsteen song of the same name - which they also played!)

After recording 2 songs - 'Elaine' and 'While you were out' at Chapel Studios, North Thoresby, and 4 songs - 'The Music Sets Me Free', 'Russian LA', 'Superheroes' and 'Tea For 2 With The Queen', Martin left the band to move to London.

Ex Zygal Span drummer Kev McArthur took his place for a short time, and the band recorded several songs for a Richard Cameron play 'Dead Beat' whilst performing regularly around the Scunthorpe area.

Kev McArthur left and his place was taken by Andrew 'Figgy' Figliuzzi. By this time the material had started to feature keyboards more and so a second guitarist Andrew Willcox - a former student of Kenny Blades, was brought in to allow Daz to also play keyboards.

Gigs took place and new material written and performed before the band split in 1988

Kenny went on to play with Contact 4 and later Triple XXX before calling it a day in 1999. Daz Ebbatson went on to form 'Cartoon' and 'The Catflaps' with returned drummer Martin Rushby, playing several gigs and rock opens with both bands before joining Kev McArthur once again in Murphy's Law in 1996.

Fandango briefly resurfaced in their original line-up in 1997 for a charity concert.(Pictures in Gallery) In 1999 Kenny and Daz supported Murphy's Law as Fandango with drummer Jay Sikora standing in for drummer Martin.
