Cabaret Surf were formed to pursue the ultimate aim of any band in Scunthorpe - to enter the Rock Open. Not quite youngsters in the true sense of the word, the band decided to embrace something they were all familiar with - Surf Music!

To be honest, the name came first, after hours of deliberation with the use of a few newspapers, along came Cabaret Surf, and the musical direction followed!

Inspired by a love of jangly guitars, rich harmonies and the sound of the waves crashing, a CD Single was produced and released in 2001, featuring tracks written by each from the trio. The narration between the tracks caused its removal from a local company's where it was being used as hold music!

The album 'Music from the film' was released in September 2002 having been recorded over 2 years from January 200 to June 2002. The drum tracks were all recorded at Strings Studio and all other instruments and vocals were recorded at Django Studios in Scunthorpe.

The Baths appearance was not successful and only 3 live dates took place before the band split up.

A video of White Surfer Boy is still in production........
